Sally Nicholls dorastała w Stockton-on-Tees w Anglii. Po ukończeniu szkoły podróżowała po świecie. Przez pewien czas pracowała w szpitalu Czerwonego Krzyża w Japonii. Jej pierwsza powieść „Ways to Live Forever" zdobyła Waterstones Children's Book Prize i znalazła się na listach Guardian Children's Fiction Prize oraz Costa Children's Book Award. Autorka mieszka w Oksfordzie.
Bethan Woollvin ukończyła z wyróżnieniem wydział ilustracji w Cambridge School of Art. Pracuje jako autorka i ilustratorka w Sheffield w Wielkiej Brytanii. W 2014 roku jej „Little Red" wygrała konkurs na książkę dla dzieci organizowany przez wydawnictwo Macmillan. „Little Red" została również uznana za najlepszą ilustrowaną książkę dla dzieci 2016 roku przez „New York Times".
