Gewalt gegen Frauen ist ein alltägliches Phänomen, auch wenn sie nur selten öffentlich wird. Einmal gelingt es ihr, sich nach draußen zu retten. Er folgt ihr, prügelt weiter, würgt sie, bis Passanten ihn festhalten und die Polizei holen.
Wie gewinnt man nach einer Gewalterfahrung die Selbstachtung zurück, die Selbstbestimmung über das eigene Leben? Wie geht man damit um, dass die Polizei einen angekündigten Mord nicht ernst nimmt? Dass man einem Richter gegenübersteht, der auf dem rechten Auge blind ist? Was macht es mit den Betroffenen, die Täter wiedersehen zu müssen und sich bohrenden Fragen zur Tat zu stellen?
